February 14, 2014 — LiKun Electronics, a leading supplier of discrete semiconductors, today announced the release of its new 15kW, 20kW, and 30kW high power TVS diodes for use in lightning and AC/DC power line protection.

The 15KP series features 15kW peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µS waveform and reverse standoff voltage from 17V to 280V. The 20KP series features 20kW peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µS waveform and reverse standoff voltage from 20V to 300V. The 30KP series features 30kW peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µS waveform and reverse standoff voltage from 28V to 288V. All devices are available in both uni-directional and bi-directional configurations to suit different circuitry demands. These new diodes are offered in a P-600 axial package molded with UL 94V-0 rated plastic material. They are lead-free plated and compliant to RoHS 2.0 and REACH standards.

Constructing in proprietary die stack technology and optimized vacuum soldering process, these new high power TVS diodes provide high surge current handling capability in avalanche mode, ensuring fast clamping time against transient and highly efficient heat dissipation in the conduction of destructive spike. These devices are designed to protect sensitive equipment against transients induced by lightning or inductive load switching. They are ideally suited for telecom power line lightning protection, motor start/stop and battery power line surge protection.
